The dutch foundation ‘Duik de Noordzee schoon’ has committed themselves to a healthier North Sea. They want to preserve and recover the biodiversity in their sea. Marine life is under threat by ghost fishing. Lost nets and fishing lines that keep on fishing. Due to this ghost fishing animals like this seal get entangled and die in this debris. ‘Duik de Noordzee schoon’ puts a lot of effort in cleaning the North Sea of those ghost nets. Especially around ship wrecks, because ship wrecks form an important habitat for all marine life.
